What is the Morocco retreat?
The Morocco Retreat is a 5-day/6-night adventure photography experience set against the rich textures and vibrant culture of North Africa. Alongside a small group of like-minded photographers, Alex and his close friend Isaac Johnston will lead you through a curated journey across ancient plains, desert dunes, and remote mountain villages. Exclusive shoot opportunities have been arranged with local artisans, vintage dirtbikes, and more offering rare access and storytelling depth you won’t find in typical trips.
Taking place in November— a time of cooler temperatures, fewer tourists, and beautifully diffused light — this retreat is designed around Morocco’s dramatic seasonal transition. From the windswept dunes to forgotten villages and the immense foothills of the Atlas Mountains, you’ll photograph a country full of contrast and character. It’s the perfect moment to capture Morocco’s beauty in rich, golden tones.
